Rajasthan Health Institute, Jaipur is hiring Patient Care Assistants for its inpatient wards. This role is also known as Ward Boy or Ward Attendant. You will support nursing staff in the direct care of admitted patients. No prior experience is required — full training is provided. This role is essential to the daily functioning of every hospital ward and is one of the most reliably available positions in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with movement — helping them shift from bed to wheelchair, supporting mobility within the ward
• Transport patients between wards, OT, ICU, and diagnostic departments within the hospital
• Maintain cleanliness of the ward environment — beds, floors, and common areas in assigned zones
• Assist nursing staff during patient care procedures as directed
• Deliver meals to patients in the ward and collect trays after meals
• Respond to patient call bells and report urgent needs to the nursing team immediately

Who Can Apply

• 10th pass or above — no specific degree required
• No prior hospital experience required — full on-the-job training is provided
• Physically fit — the role involves standing, walking, and assisting patient movement throughout the shift
• Compassionate and calm — patients in a hospital setting are often anxious or in pain
• Male candidates preferred for general wards — female candidates considered for maternity and paediatric wards
• Jaipur resident or willing to relocate

Shift Timings

Three rotational shifts: Morning 6 AM to 2 PM, Afternoon 2 PM to 10 PM, Night 10 PM to 6 AM. Shift rotation is monthly. Night shift carries an additional Rs 1,500 monthly allowance.

Salary and Benefits

Monthly salary Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 based on shift assignment and performance. Uniform provided by the hospital at no cost. One meal per shift from the hospital canteen. ESI and PF as per statutory norms. Candidates who perform consistently for 12 months are considered for promotion to Senior Ward Attendant with salary revision.
