Flipkart QA team is embedded in product squads from the beginning of every feature cycle. You are in the planning meeting. You review the requirement document before a single line of code is written. You define what working correctly means before the developers start building it. By the time a feature reaches production, you have already run it through hundreds of test scenarios — functional, regression, edge case, and user flow. Your sign-off is what moves it forward.

That is the kind of QA engineering Flipkart builds for. Entry level means you are new to the industry — it does not mean you are new to thinking rigorously.

About the Role

Flipkart is one of Indias largest technology-driven e-commerce platforms, processing crores of transactions daily across web, Android, and iOS. Every checkout flow, every search result, every payment gateway interaction, and every seller dashboard function has a QA engineer behind it making sure it works — not just in ideal conditions, but when the network is slow, the device is old, and the user does something unexpected.

As an Entry Level QA Test Engineer, you join one of Flipkart product squads and own the quality of the features your squad ships.

What You Will Work On

• Writing detailed test cases for new features based on product requirement documents and user stories
• Executing manual test cases across web and mobile platforms — identifying bugs, documenting them clearly, and tracking them to resolution
• Running regression test suites before every release to ensure existing functionality is not broken by new changes
• Performing exploratory testing — going beyond the written test cases to find issues that scripted tests miss
• Working with developers to reproduce reported bugs, confirm root cause, and verify fixes
• Gradually learning to write automated test scripts using Selenium or Appium as you build experience on the team

What Flipkart Looks for in a Fresher QA Engineer

• A computer science or IT engineering degree — B.E., B.Tech, or MCA
• Strong logical thinking — the ability to break a feature into every possible user scenario and predict where it could fail
• Basic programming knowledge — Python or Java fundamentals are sufficient; you do not need to be a developer
• Familiarity with software testing concepts — SDLC, STLC, types of testing, and bug life cycle, even if only from coursework
• Clear written communication — a bug report that is vague or incomplete wastes a developer time
• Freshers who have done internship projects, college final year testing projects, or personal QA practice on test practice websites are strongly preferred

Tools You Will Learn and Use

• JIRA for bug tracking and sprint management
• Postman for API testing basics
• Selenium WebDriver for automated browser testing as you progress
• Flipkart internal testing and deployment tools — trained during onboarding

Work Setup

100 percent remote. You need a laptop with minimum 8 GB RAM — testing environments and browser tabs are resource-heavy. Stable internet of at least 15 Mbps. Flipkart provides access to all internal tools and testing environments remotely from day one.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 7 PM. Saturday is a flexible work day during sprint releases. This is a product company schedule — not a service company shift rotation.

Salary and Benefits
