Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a forward-thinking and detail-oriented Remote Sustainability Manager – Carbon Accounting (SaaS) to lead and scale our environmental impact initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing carbon accounting processes, ensuring compliance with global sustainability standards, and leveraging SaaS-based tools to deliver accurate emissions tracking and reporting.

The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical capabilities with a passion for sustainability, helping organizations transition toward low-carbon operations while supporting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end carbon accounting processes, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions tracking.
• Implement and manage SaaS-based carbon accounting platforms and tools.
• Develop and maintain greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories aligned with international frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol).
• Analyze sustainability data and generate actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations.
• Prepare sustainability reports, disclosures, and compliance documentation (e.g., CDP, ESG reports).
• Stay updated with evolving environmental regulations and industry best practices.
• Support clients/customers in onboarding and utilizing SaaS carbon accounting solutions effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of carbon accounting methodologies and ESG frameworks.
• Proficiency in SaaS platforms and data analytics tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with international climate standards and reporting frameworks.

Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, or ESG-related roles.
• Proven experience working with carbon accounting software or SaaS platforms.
• Experience in consulting, corporate sustainability, or environmental reporting is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Fully remote position with flexible working hours.
• Must be available for occasional overlap with global teams across different time zones.
