Global MNC Tech is seeking a reliable and technically skilled Weekend Solar Farm Maintenance Technician to support the performance and reliability of our renewable energy operations. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across our solar farm facilities during weekend shifts.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in renewable energy, hands-on technical ability, and the capability to work independently in outdoor environments. This role plays an important part in ensuring solar systems operate efficiently and contribute to sustainable energy production.
Perform routine inspections of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot faults in solar PV systems.
Clean solar panels and remove debris that may reduce energy efficiency.
Monitor system performance using monitoring software and report irregularities.
Assist in repairing or replacing damaged modules, wiring, connectors, or inverters.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and technical reports.
Follow safety protocols and environmental compliance standards.
Coordinate with weekday engineering teams regarding maintenance findings and required repairs.
Support emergency maintenance when unexpected system issues occur.
Basic knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems and electrical components.
Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance tools.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to read technical diagrams and maintenance manuals.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and monitoring software.
Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in solar system maintenance, electrical maintenance, or technical field service roles is an advantage.
Fresh candidates with relevant training in solar technology may also be considered.
Part-time weekend schedule (Saturday and Sunday).
Typical shift: 8–10 hours per day, depending on site requirements.
Occasional additional hours may be required during maintenance or inspection projects.
Understanding of solar PV system components and functionality.
Ability to diagnose equipment performance issues quickly and effectively.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills to coordinate with technical teams.
