Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Data Entry Specialist – Ocean Freight Logs to join our global logistics support team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately recording, updating, and maintaining ocean freight shipment data within our logistics management systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently, and a basic understanding of shipping documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and update ocean freight shipment data into internal logistics databases and management systems.

• Maintain accurate logs of cargo movements, container numbers, vessel schedules, and port activities.

• Review freight documentation such as Bills of Lading, shipment manifests, and delivery confirmations for data accuracy.

• Cross-check shipment details with internal records and flag discrepancies.

• Organize digital records and maintain proper documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.

• Coordinate with logistics coordinators and operations teams to ensure timely data updates.

• Generate periodic reports on shipment logs, cargo status, and freight tracking information.

• Maintain strict data confidentiality and follow company data management protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelors degree in logistics, business administration, or related field is an advantage.

• Proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet software (such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).

• Basic understanding of shipping or logistics terminology is preferred.

• Excellent typing speed with a high level of accuracy.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in data entry, logistics support, freight documentation, or administrative roles is preferred.

• Experience working with freight management systems or shipping documentation is a plus.

• Entry-level candidates with strong data management skills may also be considered.

Working Hours

• Fully remote position with flexible scheduling.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 6–8 hours per day depending on operational needs.

• Occasional coordination with international teams may require flexible availability.
