Global MNC Tech is seeking a motivated and analytical Remote Junior Data Scientist – Customer Churn to join our growing data and analytics team. This role focuses on analyzing customer behavior, identifying patterns that lead to churn, and developing predictive models that help improve customer retention strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data science, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and customer success to turn complex data into actionable insights. Analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns related to customer churn.
Build and maintain predictive models to forecast churn risk using machine learning techniques.
Perform data cleaning, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis to support model development.
Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to develop data-driven retention strategies.
Create dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Monitor model performance and continuously improve algorithms and predictive accuracy.
Document methodologies, processes, and results to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
Support the development of automated data pipelines and reporting tools.
Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib.
Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling techniques.
Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
0–2 years of experience in data science, data analytics, or a related field.
Internship or academic project experience involving predictive modeling or customer analytics is highly desirable.
Experience working with large datasets and cloud-based analytics platforms is a plus.
Fully remote position with flexible work arrangements.
Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday.
Approximately 40 hours per week, with occasional collaboration across global time zones.
Strong statistical reasoning and data interpretation abilities.
Ability to translate business problems into data science solutions.
Understanding of customer lifecycle metrics and churn analysis methodologies.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining collaboration with team members.
