Startup Inno is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Weekend Local Heritage Walk Leader to guide engaging heritage walks that showcase the history, culture, architecture, and stories of local communities. The ideal candidate is passionate about cultural preservation, storytelling, and public engagement, and can deliver memorable experiences for tourists, students, and local residents. This role involves planning and leading informative walking tours during weekends while ensuring participants have a safe, enjoyable, and educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead well-organized heritage walks highlighting historical landmarks, cultural traditions, and local stories.

• Conduct thorough research on local history, architecture, and heritage sites to provide accurate and engaging information.

• Prepare tour routes, narratives, and interactive storytelling techniques to enhance participant experience.

• Welcome and brief participants at the start of each tour regarding safety, itinerary, and expectations.

• Answer questions and encourage discussions about cultural and historical topics.

• Ensure the safety and comfort of participants during the walking tour.

• Collaborate with local communities, historians, and tourism stakeholders to enrich the tour content.

• Promote heritage walks through social media, community groups, and tourism platforms when required.

• Collect participant feedback and suggest improvements for future tours.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in History, Tourism, Archaeology, Cultural Studies, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

• Strong communication and public speaking skills.

• Passion for heritage, culture, and storytelling.

• Ability to engage diverse audiences including tourists, students, and families.

• Good organizational and time-management skills.

• Basic knowledge of local heritage sites, architecture, and traditions.

Experience

• Prior experience as a tour guide, heritage walk leader, travel guide, or cultural facilitator is preferred.

• Experience in storytelling, public speaking, or conducting educational tours is an advantage.

• Fresh candidates with strong knowledge of local history and enthusiasm for cultural heritage are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

• Primarily weekend-based role (Saturday and Sunday).

• Typically 3–5 hours per walk, depending on the tour route and participant group.

• Occasional special heritage walks or cultural events during holidays or festivals.
