Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Remote Virtual Patient Intake Specialist to join our growing healthcare support team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking medical services through our partner healthcare providers. Your primary responsibility will be to collect, verify, and document patient information accurately while ensuring a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.

As a remote professional, you will communicate with patients via phone, video, and secure digital platforms to gather essential medical and personal information prior to appointments. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced virtual healthcare environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients scheduling medical consultations.

  • Collect and verify patient demographics, medical history, insurance information, and reason for visit.

  • Accurately enter patient data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Guide patients through digital intake forms and consent documentation.

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments with healthcare providers.

  • Ensure all patient information is recorded in compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.

  • Communicate clearly with medical staff regarding patient details and appointment preparation.

  • Assist patients with technical support for telehealth appointments when necessary.

  • Maintain organized digital records and ensure data accuracy.

  • Follow established protocols and procedures for patient intake and documentation.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelors degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to handle confidential patient information with professionalism.

  • Comfortable working with healthcare software systems and digital tools.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic data entry systems.

  • Strong customer service mindset with empathy and patience.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.


Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, patient services, medical reception, or a related field preferred.

  • Prior experience working with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or medical intake systems is highly desirable.

  • Experience in telehealth or remote healthcare support roles is an added advantage.

  • Customer service or call center experience in a healthcare environment is beneficial.


Working Hours

  • Fully remote position.
