Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Cybersecurity Analyst – SOC Operations – Night Shift Specialist to join our global Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This role is responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents across our enterprise infrastructure.

As a Night Shift SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organizations digital assets by proactively identifying threats, investigating security alerts, and implementing rapid response measures to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with security tools, and the ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stakes cybersecurity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and SOC monitoring tools.

• Investigate suspicious activity and perform incident triage, analysis, and escalation.

• Analyze network traffic, system logs, and endpoint data to detect potential threats.

• Respond to security incidents such as malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access attempts.

• Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify emerging cyber threats.

• Document incidents, response actions, and findings in accordance with SOC procedures.

• Collaborate with internal IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen security controls.

• Maintain awareness of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.

• Support vulnerability assessments and security audits.

• Contribute to improving SOC playbooks, incident response procedures, and detection rules.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and incident response processes.

• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight.

• Knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.

• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and security monitoring tools.

• Ability to analyze logs, alerts, and system data to identify potential threats.

• Strong documentation and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Security Operations Center (SOC), cybersecurity monitoring, or incident response roles.

• Experience working in a 24/7 SOC environment or night shift operations is highly preferred.

• Prior exposure to cloud security monitoring (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is considered an advantage.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or GIAC are a plus.

Working Hours

• Night Shift Role (Remote)

• Typical shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Flexible based on global SOC coverage)

• 5 days per week with rotational weekend coverage if required.

• Ability to quickly assess and respond to cybersecurity incidents.

• Knowledge of cyber threat landscapes, attack vectors, and defense strategies.

• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and incident response methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple alerts and incidents simultaneously.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a distributed security team.
