Global MNC Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Remote Medical Billing Specialist with ICD-10 certification to join our growing healthcare support team. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong understanding of medical billing procedures, coding standards, and healthcare insurance claims processing.
As a Remote Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing, coding, and reimbursement processes while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced remote environment. Review patient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes.
Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies electronically.
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to billing.
Monitor claim status and follow up with insurance providers on unpaid or rejected claims.
Resolve billing discrepancies, coding errors, and claim denials.
Maintain accurate billing records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Work closely with healthcare providers and internal teams to clarify coding requirements.
Process payments, adjustments, and patient billing statements.
Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Generate billing reports and assist management with financial reconciliation.
ICD-10 Certification is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures and healthcare reimbursement processes.
Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and insurance claim guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Proficiency in medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic knowledge of healthcare compliance standards including HIPAA.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.
Prior experience handling ICD-10 coding and insurance claim submissions.
Experience working with hospitals, clinics, or healthcare service providers is preferred.
Experience in remote healthcare administrative roles is considered an advantage.
Full-time remote position
