Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard our cloud infrastructure and digital assets. This role is critical in identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring threats, and implementing robust security measures across our cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in cloud security, incident response, and risk management, with the ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced global environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen our security posture and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts across cloud platforms.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure.

• Implement and maintain cloud security controls, policies, and procedures.

• Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis.

• Support the design and deployment of secure cloud architectures.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and security frameworks.

• Work closely with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines.

• Prepare detailed security reports and provide actionable recommendations.

• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).

• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and zero-trust architecture.

• Familiarity with compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks).

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus.

• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Security+, CEH).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Experience

• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity or cloud security roles.

• Proven experience securing cloud infrastructure in enterprise environments.

• Hands-on experience with incident response and threat hunting.

• Experience working in a remote or globally distributed team is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Fully remote role aligned with Kuala Lumpur (KL) business hours.

• Flexible working model with occasional overlap required for global team meetings.

• On-call availability may be required for critical security incidents.
