Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly analytical and impact-driven Staff Data Scientist – Product Analytics & Experimentation to lead data-informed decision-making across our product ecosystem. In this strategic individual contributor role, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to design experiments, uncover actionable insights, and drive measurable product growth.

The ideal candidate combines deep statistical expertise with strong business acumen and hands-on experience in experimentation frameworks, product analytics, and advanced data modeling. You will play a critical role in shaping product strategy through rigorous analysis and scalable experimentation practices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests and multivariate experiments across key product areas.

  • Develop robust experimentation frameworks, metrics definitions, and best practices to scale data-driven product development.

  • Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to translate business questions into analytical approaches and measurable outcomes.

  • Build and maintain advanced analytical models to evaluate product performance, user behavior, and growth opportunities.

  • Create dashboards and automated reporting to monitor product health and experiment impact.

  • Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, promoting strong statistical rigor and experimentation discipline.

  • Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvement in data quality, instrumentation, and analytics infrastructure.

  • Influence product roadmap through insight generation and opportunity sizing.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related quantitative field.

  • Strong expertise in experimental design, causal inference, and statistical hypothesis testing.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of user behavior analysis, funnel optimization, and growth metrics.

  • Experience building scalable data pipelines and working with large datasets.

  • Strong data visualization skills using tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or experimentation roles.

  • Proven track record of driving product impact through experimentation and data insights.

  • Experience in high-growth tech, SaaS, or consumer product environments preferred.

  • Prior experience mentoring or leading analytical initiatives at scale is highly desirable.
