Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional CFO to partner with high-growth startups and early-stage companies. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in dynamic environments and can provide strategic financial guidance without the commitment of a full-time position. The Fractional CFO will work closely with executive teams to shape financial strategy, optimize cash flow, manage fundraising efforts, and implement scalable financial systems to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to startup founders and executive teams.

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with short- and long-term business goals.

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing actionable insights for decision-making.

• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and recommend cost optimization and revenue growth strategies.

• Lead fundraising initiatives, including investor presentations, due diligence preparation, and capital structuring.

• Establish and maintain financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting frameworks suitable for early-stage companies.

• Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or investment opportunities.

• Mentor and guide internal finance teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and process standardization.

• Provide risk management insights, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior financial leader with startups or high-growth companies.

• Deep understanding of financial strategy, corporate finance, cash flow management, and fundraising.

• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario planning.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, corporate governance, and compliance standards.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders, including investors and board members.

• Ability to simplify complex financial data and present actionable insights.

• Comfortable working remotely with a portfolio of companies, managing priorities across multiple clients.

Experience

• Minimum of 10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably with startup or venture-backed experience.

• Demonstrated track record of guiding startups through fundraising, scaling, and financial optimization.

• Experience in cross-functional leadership, working closely with CEO, COO, and other executives.

• Familiarity with SaaS, tech, or innovative product sectors is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Flexible remote schedule with an expectation of 15–25 hours per week, depending on client needs.

• Ability to attend periodic virtual meetings with executives, investors, and stakeholders across time zones.

• Must meet agreed-upon deliverables and milestones for each portfolio company.

• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• High emotional intelligence, able to manage sensitive financial and operational information.

• Proficiency with financial software, ERPs, and cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero).

• Self-motivated, independent, and highly organized with excellent time management skills.

• Strong business acumen and understanding of startup lifecycle, fundraising cycles, and investor expectations.
