Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Coordinator to manage and support payroll operations across the South East Asia (SEA) region. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for a diverse, multinational workforce. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of regional payroll practices, local labor laws, and cross-border payroll operations, along with excellent coordination and communication skills.
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure smooth payroll cycles while maintaining strict compliance with country-specific regulations and company policies.
Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing for multiple SEA countries (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam).
Ensure timely and accurate payroll execution, including salaries, bonuses, allowances, deductions, and statutory contributions.
Maintain employee payroll records, updates, and changes (new hires, terminations, promotions, leaves).
Liaise with external payroll providers and internal HR/Finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, social security, and labor laws across the region.
Prepare payroll reports, audits, and reconciliation statements for management review.
Handle employee payroll inquiries and provide clear explanations on pay structures and deductions.
Support year-end processes, including tax filings, statutory reports, and audits.
Continuously improve payroll processes and documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong understanding of payroll processes and statutory requirements in SEA countries.
Proficiency in payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
2–5 years of experience in payroll coordination or payroll administration.
Prior experience handling multi-country payroll (preferably SEA region).
Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is highly desirable.
Full-time, remote role.
