Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer – API Documentation to join our growing global technology team. This fully remote role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about transforming complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation for developers, engineers, and business stakeholders.

As a Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between engineering teams and end users by producing high-quality API documentation, developer guides, integration manuals, and knowledge base articles. Your work will directly impact product usability, developer experience, and customer satisfaction across our global platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including REST/GraphQL APIs.

• Create developer guides, onboarding manuals, SDK documentation, and integration tutorials.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to gather technical information.

• Translate complex technical workflows into clear, structured, and user-friendly content.

• Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards.

• Review and update existing documentation to reflect product changes and new releases.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and documentation planning sessions.

• Create diagrams, flowcharts, and examples to enhance technical understanding.

• Maintain documentation repositories using tools such as Confluence, Git, or similar platforms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong understanding of API concepts (REST, JSON, XML, HTTP methods, authentication).

• Experience documenting technical systems, software platforms, or developer tools.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Markdown, Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Confluence, or similar.

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

• Strong research and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

Experience

• 2–5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a software or SaaS environment.

• Proven experience in writing API or developer documentation.

• Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.

• Prior remote work experience is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Fully remote role with flexible working hours.

• Core collaboration hours aligned with global teams (overlap with US/EU time zones preferred).

• Standard full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
