Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly professional and compassionate Remote Bilingual Interpreter (English/Vietnamese) to support healthcare communication between medical professionals and Vietnamese-speaking patients. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, confidential, and culturally appropriate communication in clinical settings, including hospitals, clinics, insurance providers, and telehealth platforms.

As a remote interpreter, you will act as a vital bridge between patients and healthcare providers, enabling better understanding, improved patient outcomes, and compliance with healthcare communication standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time English ↔ Vietnamese interpretation for healthcare-related conversations via phone or video platforms.

• Accurately interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient instructions.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

• Facilitate smooth communication between doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and patients.

• Remain neutral and professional during sensitive medical discussions.

• Clarify cultural nuances to ensure mutual understanding between parties.

• Document call details and follow internal quality assurance guidelines.

• Meet performance metrics related to accuracy, call handling, and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written).

• Strong command of medical terminology in both languages.

• Excellent listening, comprehension, and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure healthcare situations.

• High ethical standards and respect for patient confidentiality.

• Proficient in using computers, headsets, and video conferencing tools.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional interpreting experience, preferably in healthcare or medical environments.

• Prior experience in remote/over-the-phone/video interpretation is highly desirable.

• Experience working with hospitals, insurance providers, or telemedicine platforms is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Fully remote position.

• Flexible shifts available (day, evening, and night shifts depending on service demand).

• Full-time and part-time schedules available.

• Must be willing to work in rotating shifts, including weekends or holidays if required.
