Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Remote Payroll Specialist to manage and execute end-to-end payroll operations for employees across multiple U.S. states. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while supporting our distributed workforce.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for handling payroll cycles, tax compliance, benefits deductions, audits, and employee inquiries. You will work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors to ensure payroll integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for multi-state U.S. employees, including salaried and hourly staff.

• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and retroactive pay.

• Manage federal, state, and local payroll taxes, filings, and year-end reporting (W-2, 1099).

• Maintain payroll records and employee data in payroll systems.

• Handle payroll audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.

• Coordinate with HR on new hires, terminations, promotions, and benefits changes.

• Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Ensure compliance with U.S. labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.

• Support process improvements and payroll automation initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and multi-state tax regulations.

• Hands-on experience with payroll systems (such as ADP, Workday, Paychex, or similar).

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in U.S. payroll processing.

• Proven experience managing multi-state payroll for mid to large organizations.

• Experience working in remote or global teams is a plus.

• Prior exposure to audits and compliance reporting is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time role: 40 hours per week.
