Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Developer Advocate (Portuguese Language Focus) to join our growing global technology team. This role is ideal for a technical leader who thrives at the intersection of software development, community engagement, and strategic communication.

As a Lead Developer Advocate, you will act as the primary technical ambassador for our products within Portuguese-speaking markets, building strong relationships with developers, partners, and technology communities across Brazil, Portugal, and other Portuguese-speaking regions. You will play a critical role in driving product adoption, shaping developer experience, and influencing product strategy through direct feedback from the community.

This is a senior, high-impact role that combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership, evangelism, content creation, and public speaking.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical spokesperson and evangelist for Global MNC Tech products in Portuguese-speaking markets.

• Build, grow, and manage developer communities through events, meetups, webinars, hackathons, and online forums.

• Create high-quality technical content including tutorials, blog posts, documentation, demos, videos, and sample code in Portuguese and English.

• Deliver technical presentations at conferences, workshops, and customer events.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to communicate product value and technical capabilities.

• Collect and analyze developer feedback to influence product roadmap and feature development.

• Lead and mentor junior developer advocates and community managers.

• Develop developer onboarding programs and best practices.

• Track community metrics and report on engagement, adoption, and impact.

• Represent Global MNC Tech in strategic partnerships and developer alliances.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in software development (at least one major programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Go, or similar).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese (native or fluent) and English (professional level).

• Deep understanding of modern software development practices, APIs, cloud platforms, and DevOps concepts.

• Proven ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with public speaking, technical writing, and community engagement.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

• Passion for open-source technologies and developer ecosystems.

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in software development, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.

• 3+ years of experience in developer advocacy, technical evangelism, developer relations, or community leadership.

• Demonstrated experience working with international or global technology companies.

• Prior experience leading teams or mentoring professionals is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position (40 hours per week).

• Flexible working hours aligned with global teams across Europe, Latin America, and North America.

• Remote or hybrid work model, depending on location.

• Occasional travel for conferences, events, and partner meetings.
