Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Translator (Portuguese to English) with a strong background in legal and technology content. As a Remote Translator, you will be responsible for converting legal, technical, and business documents from Portuguese into fluent, professional English while preserving meaning, tone, and industry-specific terminology. You will collaborate with legal teams, product managers, and technical specialists across global projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate legal and technical documents from Portuguese to English with high accuracy and consistency.

• Handle materials such as contracts, compliance reports, policies, technical manuals, software documentation, and user guides.

• Ensure translations meet legal, regulatory, and industry standards.

• Maintain terminology databases and translation memories.

• Proofread and edit translated content for grammar, style, and clarity.

• Ensure confidentiality and data protection for all sensitive documents.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, IT, and operations.

• Meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

• Adapt tone and terminology to suit different audiences and business contexts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese and English.

• Excellent written English with strong grammar and stylistic skills.

• Proven ability to translate complex legal and technical content.

• Strong understanding of legal terminology and technology-related concepts.

• Proficiency with translation tools (e.g., CAT tools, terminology management systems).

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of professional translation experience, preferably in legal and/or technology sectors.

• Prior experience working with international clients or global companies is highly preferred.
