Global MNC Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Payroll Coordinator to manage and oversee payroll operations across our South East Asia region. This role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and supports employee inquiries. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and has a strong understanding of multi-country payroll practices.
Process payroll accurately and on time for employees in South East Asia, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Maintain payroll records, tax filings, statutory contributions, and reporting for each country.
Collaborate with HR, finance, and external payroll vendors to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries, providing clear guidance and support.
Assist with payroll audits, month-end reporting, and reconciliations.
Stay up-to-date on regional payroll legislation, taxation rules, and compliance requirements.
Support payroll-related projects and continuous process improvements.
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Solid knowledge of payroll systems, multi-country payroll, and South East Asian labor laws.
Proficient in payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Minimum 2–4 years of payroll experience, preferably with multi-country payroll responsibilities in South East Asia.
Previous exposure to corporate or multinational company payroll processes is highly desirable.
Experience in compliance, statutory filings, and payroll audits is an advantage.
Full-time, remote position.
Flexible working hours within overlapping South East Asia time zones.
Occasional extended hours during month-end or audit periods may be required.
Strong understanding of payroll regulations and taxation in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll software platforms.
