Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our Remote Tech Hub. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about quality assurance, automation testing, and continuous improvement in software development.

As a Junior QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our applications. You will contribute to building automated test frameworks, executing test cases, and identifying defects while gaining hands-on experience in modern testing tools and agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.

• Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests.

• Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.

• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Analyze test results and provide clear reports to stakeholders.

• Support manual testing when automation coverage is not available.

• Continuously improve test coverage and testing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.

• Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).

• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.

• Internship or project experience in QA automation is a strong advantage.

• Experience working with Git or other version control systems is a plus.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) is desirable but not mandatory.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position.

• Standard working hours aligned with the core team (flexible within business hours).

• Occasional overlap with international teams may be required.
