Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Technical Translator (German to English) to join our growing global team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex technical content from German into clear, accurate, and professional English. You will work closely with engineering, product, and documentation teams to ensure that technical materials are linguistically precise, culturally appropriate, and aligned with industry standards.

This position is ideal for a linguist with a strong technical background who enjoys working in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment and contributing to international projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate technical documents from German to English, including user manuals, product specifications, technical reports, software documentation, and training materials.

• Ensure translations maintain the original meaning, technical accuracy, and tone of the source content.

• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and subject matter experts to clarify terminology and concepts.

• Proofread and edit translated materials for grammar, consistency, and quality.

• Maintain and update translation glossaries and terminology databases.

• Ensure compliance with company style guides and localization standards.

• Manage multiple translation projects while meeting deadlines.

• Use CAT tools and translation software efficiently to improve workflow and consistency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).

• Strong understanding of technical terminology in fields such as IT, engineering, software, or manufacturing.

• Excellent writing and editing skills in English.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Proficiency with CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, Smartcat).

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in technical translation (German to English).

• Proven experience translating technical or industry-specific documentation.

• Experience working with international clients or global teams is a plus.

• Background in technology, engineering, or scientific fields is highly desirable.

Working Hours
