Job Summary
Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Remote System Administrator – Cloud Infrastructure Ops to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud-based infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, scalability, security, and performance across our distributed environment.
As a System Administrator, you will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to support business operations, troubleshoot system issues, and implement best practices for cloud infrastructure management. This is a fully remote role, ideal for a self-driven professional passionate about cloud technologies and modern IT operations.
Manage, monitor, and maintain cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security of systems and services.
Perform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches.
Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
Monitor system logs, performance metrics, and alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Automate routine system tasks using scripts and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Enforce security best practices including access control, identity management, and vulnerability remediation.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related incidents.
Document system architecture, processes, and operational procedures.
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Proficiency in Linux and/or Windows system administration.
Experience with virtualization and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing).
Hands-on experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog).
Understanding of security frameworks and best practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
3+ years of experience in System Administration or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
Proven track record managing production systems in a remote or distributed environment.
Experience working in a startup or fast-paced technology environment is a plus.
Relevant certifications (AWS SysOps, Azure Administrator, RHCSA, or similar) are highly desirable.
Full-time, remote position.
