Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Fractional Operations Lead to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in optimizing their operational performance. This remote, consulting-based role is ideal for a seasoned operations professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with multiple businesses across different industries.

As a Fractional Operations Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor and hands-on partner to founders and leadership teams, helping them streamline processes, scale operations, implement systems, and drive sustainable growth. You will play a pivotal role in diagnosing operational gaps, designing solutions, and ensuring execution excellence without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with SME founders and executives to assess current operational structures and identify improvement opportunities.

• Design and implement scalable operational frameworks, workflows, and best practices.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives involving operations, finance, HR, customer success, and technology.

• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency and business performance.

• Optimize resource allocation, budgets, and vendor relationships.

• Support change management and process transformation initiatives.

• Act as an interim or fractional Head of Operations where required.

• Provide strategic recommendations for growth, market expansion, and operational maturity.

• Mentor internal teams and build operational capabilities within client organizations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong background in business operations, management consulting, or strategy.

• Proven ability to work with startups and SMEs in dynamic, ambiguous environments.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

• Experience implementing operational systems, tools, and frameworks.

Experience

• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in operations leadership, management consulting, or business transformation roles.

• Prior experience working with startups, scale-ups, or SMEs is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated track record of leading operational improvements and scaling businesses.

• Experience in remote or distributed work environments is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours based on client needs and project scope.

• Typically 20–30 hours per week, depending on engagement.

• Fully remote with occasional virtual meetings across global time zones.
