Job Summary
Startup Inno is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our growing Remote Tech Hub. This role is ideal for an entry-level or early-career professional who is passionate about software quality and eager to build a strong foundation in test automation within a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
As a Junior QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product managers to ensure that our digital products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and user experience. You will contribute to building and maintaining automated test frameworks, executing test cases, identifying defects, and continuously improving our testing processes.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
Execute automated and manual test cases to validate new features, bug fixes, and system enhancements.
Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
Perform regression, smoke, and sanity testing as part of continuous integration pipelines.
Analyze test results and provide clear reports on quality metrics and risks.
Continuously improve test coverage and contribute to automation best practices.
Basic understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum development processes.
Basic knowledge of APIs and tools like Postman or REST clients.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
0–2 years of experience in software testing or QA-related roles.
Fresh graduates with relevant internships, projects, or certifications in QA/automation are encouraged to apply.
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks through academic or personal projects is a plus.
