Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Remote Medical Transcriptionist – Specialist Focus to join our growing global healthcare support team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely transcription of complex medical reports dictated by specialist physicians, including but not limited to cardiologists, radiologists, oncologists, orthopedic surgeons, and other medical specialists.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of clinical documentation, supporting healthcare professionals with precise and compliant medical records, and contributing to improved patient care outcomes. This is a fully remote position, ideal for professionals who are self-motivated, disciplined, and passionate about healthcare documentation excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe and edit medical dictations from specialist physicians into structured clinical reports.

• Interpret and transcribe complex medical terminology, procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

• Ensure all transcriptions comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and organizational policies.

• Proofread and edit transcribed documents for grammar, clarity, formatting, and medical accuracy.

• Meet productivity and quality benchmarks within defined turnaround times (TAT).

• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient health information at all times.

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams and respond to feedback for continuous improvement.

• Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and transcription software efficiently.

• Handle multiple work queues and prioritize tasks based on urgency and complexity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in English (written and comprehension).

• Excellent knowledge of medical terminology across multiple specialties.

• Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60–70 WPM preferred).

• High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.

• Proficiency in medical transcription software and EHR systems.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Understanding of healthcare documentation standards and compliance requirements.

• Excellent listening skills with the ability to interpret different accents and speech patterns.

Experience

• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a Medical Transcriptionist, preferably in specialist or acute care settings.

• Prior experience transcribing reports in specialties such as cardiology, oncology, radiology, orthopedics, neurology, or surgery is highly desirable.

• Experience working remotely or in a virtual healthcare environment is an added advantage.
