Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Independent SMSF Auditor to join our growing remote finance team. This role is ideal for a qualified professional with strong expertise in Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) auditing, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

As an Independent SMSF Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting independent audits of SMSFs in accordance with Australian auditing standards and legislative requirements. You will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial records while providing professional insights to support best practices in fund governance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent audits of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) in compliance with ATO, SIS Act, and auditing standards.

• Review financial statements, investment strategies, and trustee compliance documentation.

• Identify compliance breaches, audit risks, and report findings in a clear and professional manner.

• Prepare detailed audit reports and management letters.

• Liaise with accountants, trustees, and internal teams to resolve audit issues.

• Maintain accurate audit documentation and working papers.

• Stay updated with changes in SMSF legislation, ATO guidelines, and professional standards.

• Ensure all audits are completed within agreed timelines and quality benchmarks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

• Registered SMSF Auditor with ASIC (mandatory).

• Strong knowledge of Australian superannuation law and auditing standards.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Proficiency in accounting and audit software tools.

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in SMSF auditing or superannuation-related roles.

• Proven track record of independently managing SMSF audits.

• Experience working in remote or virtual audit environments is an advantage.

• Exposure to multiple client portfolios and complex fund structures preferred.
