Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Mortgage Underwriter to join our International Finance team. This role is critical in evaluating residential mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, investor guidelines, and internal credit policies. As a Remote Mortgage Underwriter, you will assess borrower creditworthiness, analyze financial documentation, and make sound underwriting decisions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Key Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite residential mortgage loan applications in accordance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• Analyze borrower financial information including income, assets, liabilities, credit reports, and property documentation.

• Evaluate risk factors and determine loan eligibility and conditions.

• Ensure compliance with international lending regulations and internal audit requirements.

• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly to loan officers, processors, and other stakeholders.

• Identify discrepancies or missing documentation and request additional information as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all underwriting decisions.

• Participate in quality assurance reviews and continuous process improvements.

• Stay updated on industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles and credit risk assessment.

• Proficiency in underwriting systems and financial analysis tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgment under pressure.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or credit risk analysis.

• Experience with international mortgage or financial services markets is highly preferred.

• Prior exposure to automated underwriting systems and digital loan platforms is an advantage.
