Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Remote SEO Audit Manager – German Search Specialist to lead comprehensive SEO audits and organic search optimization strategies for German-speaking markets. This role is ideal for an experienced SEO professional who has deep expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and search performance analysis, specifically within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

As an SEO Audit Manager, you will play a critical role in improving website visibility, organic traffic, and search rankings across German-language digital properties. You will collaborate closely with content teams, developers, and digital marketing stakeholders to identify SEO gaps, implement best practices, and ensure sustainable growth in organic performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth SEO audits (technical, on-page, off-page, and content) for German-language websites.

• Analyze site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, and mobile usability.

• Develop actionable SEO audit reports with clear recommendations and prioritization.

• Perform keyword research and competitor analysis for the German market.

• Monitor organic performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and similar platforms.

• Collaborate with content writers and editors to optimize German-language content for search intent and relevance.

• Work with development teams to implement technical SEO improvements.

• Identify and resolve SEO issues related to penalties, traffic drops, or algorithm updates.

• Stay up to date with Google algorithm changes and SEO best practices for German search.

• Track KPIs and provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Native or fluent German language proficiency (C1/C2 level required).

• Strong understanding of technical SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and structured data.

• Expertise in on-page SEO, content optimization, and link analysis.

• Advanced knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Search Console).

• Solid understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.

• Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into business insights.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English and German.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, with a strong focus on audits and technical SEO.

• Proven track record of improving organic rankings and traffic for German-speaking websites.

• Experience working in remote or distributed teams is a plus.

• Prior experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or digital agencies preferred.

Working Hours

• Fully remote position.

• Flexible working hours with core collaboration time aligned to European business hours (CET).

• Full-time role (40 hours per week).
