Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking an experienced and visionary Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to partner with fast-growing technology startups and scale their marketing strategy from early traction to sustainable growth. This is a remote, high-impact leadership role designed for a senior marketing professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working with founders, product leaders, and cross-functional teams.

As a Fractional CMO, you will act as a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, responsible for building and executing data-driven marketing strategies, optimizing go-to-market plans, strengthening brand positioning, and driving revenue growth. You will work with multiple startups at different growth stages, bringing structure, clarity, and execution excellence to their marketing functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own end-to-end marketing strategies aligned with business and growth objectives.

  • Partner closely with founders, CEOs, and leadership teams to define go-to-market plans.

  • Build and refine brand positioning, messaging, and value propositions.

  • Lead demand generation initiatives across digital channels (SEO, content, paid media, social, email).

  • Design and optimize customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle strategies.

  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to track ROI and growth.

  • Guide product marketing, including launches, pricing, and competitive positioning.

  • Oversee and mentor internal marketing teams, freelancers, and agencies.

  • Manage marketing budgets and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources.

  • Conduct market research and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in B2B and/or B2C technology marketing.

  • Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing ecosystems and growth frameworks.

  • Experience in SaaS, fintech, AI, or emerging tech sectors is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work with data, analytics tools, and CRM platforms.

  • Strong storytelling, branding, and positioning skills.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments.


Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in marketing leadership roles.

  • Previous experience as a CMO, Head of Marketing, Growth Lead, or similar role.

  • Demonstrated success scaling startups or high-growth companies.

  • Experience working in a fractional, consulting, or advisory capacity is a plus.


Working Hours

  • Fully remote and flexible working hours.

  • Part-time / fractional engagement (typically 10–25 hours per week per client).

  • Availability for key stakeholder meetings across global time zones.
