Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software documentation and technical communication, capable of translating complex engineering concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. This role is essential for bridging the gap between our development teams and end-users, ensuring that all documentation—from API guides to internal manuals—is accurate, accessible, and of the highest quality.

As a Technical Writer at Startup Inno, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to create and maintain comprehensive documentation that supports the development, deployment, and adoption of our software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation, user manuals, release notes, and internal knowledge bases.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to gather technical information and ensure accuracy.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for diverse audiences.

• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documentation.

• Review and edit documentation created by other team members to ensure clarity and correctness.

• Keep documentation up to date with software updates, new features, and changes in product functionality.

• Participate in content strategy planning and provide recommendations for improving documentation processes.

• Assist in creating visual aids, diagrams, and flowcharts to support textual documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in software development or engineering environments.

• Strong understanding of software development concepts, programming languages, and APIs.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.

• Experience with documentation tools such as Markdown, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in technical writing, preferably in software or engineering fields.

• Experience producing API documentation and user guides for technical and non-technical audiences.

• Prior experience collaborating with remote development teams is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time, remote position.

• Flexible working hours with overlap required for team meetings (time zone coordination may be needed).

• Occasional deadlines may require additional focus during peak periods.
