Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Remote Financial Controller with a strong focus on Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. This role is ideal for a finance professional who combines technical financial expertise with a passion for sustainability and responsible business practices. You will oversee financial planning, reporting, and control while ensuring that our financial strategies align with ESG objectives, enabling Startup Inno to drive growth responsibly and sustainably.

The role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with a dynamic, mission-driven team focused on innovative solutions and sustainable impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with ESG standards.

• Develop, implement, and monitor financial controls and policies in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Drive ESG-linked financial reporting, integrating sustainability metrics and KPIs into financial statements and strategic planning.

• Analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for data-driven decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG principles into financial strategies and investment decisions.

• Support investor relations by preparing financial statements, reports, and presentations highlighting both financial performance and ESG progress.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and compliance.

• Lead financial due diligence for new projects or partnerships with a focus on ESG alignment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) or equivalent experience in financial leadership roles.

• Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting standards, financial modeling, and reporting.

• Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting, and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency in financial software and systems (ERP, reporting tools, Excel/Google Sheets).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

• Strong communication and leadership abilities to influence and guide teams remotely.

• Ability to balance financial performance goals with sustainability objectives.

Experience

• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior or controlling role.

• Demonstrated experience in ESG or sustainability reporting is highly desirable.

• Experience in startups, technology, or innovative sectors preferred, but not mandatory.

Working Hours

• Full-time remote role, flexible working hours with core overlap of 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (your local time) for team collaboration.

• Occasional participation in international meetings may be required.
