Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Principal Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to lead our global infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of global infrastructure strategies to ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability.

• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to define service-level objectives (SLOs) and key reliability metrics.

• Drive automation and efficiency improvements in deployment, monitoring, and incident response processes.

• Mentor and guide SRE teams across regions, fostering a culture of reliability and operational excellence.

• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to optimize global infrastructure.

• Lead post-incident analyses and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce system downtime and operational risk.

• Influence infrastructure-related architectural decisions across multiple business units.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to global standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Go, Java, or similar).

• Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and database technologies.

• Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and incident management systems (Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure, or DevOps roles.

• Proven track record of leading large-scale, globally distributed infrastructure projects.

• Hands-on experience in cloud architecture, automation, and performance optimization.

• Experience mentoring technical teams and influencing strategic decisions at the executive level.

Working Hours

• Full-time role with flexibility to accommodate global operations.

• Occasional on-call rotation for critical incident response may be required.

• Primarily standard business hours with support for cross-time zone collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep understanding of reliability engineering principles, including chaos engineering and capacity planning.

• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.

• Ability to make high-impact decisions under pressure.

• Knowledge of IT security, compliance, and risk management standards in global environments.
