Global MNC Tech, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our E-Commerce Payments team. The SRE will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, scalability, and reliability of our global payments infrastructure. This role combines software engineering, systems engineering, and operational excellence to maintain seamless, secure, and high-performance payment services for millions of users worldwide. Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable payment systems supporting global e-commerce operations.
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and incident response to ensure minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
Automate operational processes, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring, to improve system efficiency and reliability.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to enhance system reliability from development through production.
Conduct root cause analyses of incidents, implementing preventive measures and lessons learned.
Participate in on-call rotation for incident management and troubleshooting critical system issues.
Optimize and maintain cloud infrastructure, databases, and payment processing pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Develop and maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and incident post-mortems.
Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience with automation and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash, or similar).
Deep understanding of distributed systems, databases, and microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
Expertise in incident management, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
Proven track record in payment systems, e-commerce platforms, or financial technology services is highly desirable.
Experience in managing large-scale, high-traffic, mission-critical systems.
Full-time position with flexible working hours to support global operations.
Participation in on-call rotation for incident management and troubleshooting.
Remote and hybrid options may be considered depending on location.
Strong analytical and technical skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and automation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
