Job Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Specialist to join our dynamic team and drive the deployment, automation, and optimization of our marine technology systems. The ideal candidate will bridge development and operations, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable software deployment across our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. This role is pivotal in maintaining the reliability and performance of mission-critical marine systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and automation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines for software deployment across cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Collaborate with software engineers, QA teams, and system architects to streamline development workflows.

  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for high availability and scalability.

  • Maintain configuration management, version control, and infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and continuous delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in deployment and infrastructure management.

  • Provide incident response support and root cause analysis for system issues.

  • Stay current with emerging DevOps trends and technologies, particularly in marine systems and IoT applications.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration and scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

  • Knowledge of networking, security practices, and system monitoring tools.

  • Familiarity with marine technology systems or IoT device integration is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.


Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Systems Engineering role.

  • Proven track record of deploying and managing complex software systems in cloud or hybrid environments.

  • Experience with marine technology systems, IoT platforms, or industrial automation is advantageous but not mandatory.


Working Hours

  • Standard 40-hour workweek with flexibility to support deployments and incidents.

  • On-call rotation may be required for critical system support.

  • Remote work options available; occasional on-site presence may be required depending on project needs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles, agile methodologies, and software development lifecycle.

  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
