Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead – Virtualization & VMware to lead, design, and manage enterprise-scale virtualized infrastructure environments. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, performance, security, and scalability of our VMware-based platforms. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership capabilities to drive infrastructure modernization and support business-critical applications across global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of VMware-based virtualization environments (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).

• Oversee day-to-day operations of virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

• Architect and manage solutions involving VMware HA, DRS, vSAN, and disaster recovery.

• Lead infrastructure upgrade, migration, and consolidation initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure and system administration teams.

• Collaborate with network, storage, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration.

• Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, best practices, and operational procedures.

• Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and proactive issue resolution.

• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party service providers.

• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.

• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX).

• Hands-on experience with virtualization, server infrastructure, and data center operations.

• Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.

• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments.

• Knowledge of cloud integration and hybrid infrastructure models.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in VMware virtualization technologies.

• Proven experience in a lead or senior infrastructure role within a medium to large enterprise environment.

• Experience working in global or multi-site infrastructure setups is highly preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard business hours with flexibility to support global teams.

• On-call or after-hours support may be required for critical incidents or planned maintenance.
