Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Media & Streaming Optimization to join our advanced engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, performance, and availability of our cloud-based media and streaming platforms. You will work closely with DevOps, platform engineering, and media product teams to optimize streaming performance, reduce latency, and build resilient cloud infrastructure that supports millions of global users in real time.

This is a critical role for professionals who are passionate about cloud technologies, automation, and delivering seamless digital media experiences at scale.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure for media and streaming workloads.

  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance using observability tools and dashboards.

  • Optimize video streaming performance, including latency reduction, throughput improvement, and cost efficiency.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based streaming services.

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement long-term preventive solutions.

  • Collaborate with development teams to improve system design, fault tolerance, and deployment strategies.

  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across all cloud environments.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • Solid understanding of Site Reliability Engineering principles and DevOps practices.

  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or Java.

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).

  • Experience with CDN technologies and streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, RTMP).

  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.


Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 3–7 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.

  • Prior experience in media, OTT platforms, or high-traffic digital services is highly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience managing large-scale, distributed systems in production environments.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).

  • Flexible working hours depending on project needs.

  • May require participation in on-call rotations and support for global operations across time zones.
