Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Platform Support Engineer – Linux & Cloud Fundamentals to join our growing technology operations team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about system platforms, cloud technologies, and providing reliable technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

As a Platform Support Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting core infrastructure platforms, ensuring high system availability, and assisting in the management of Linux-based systems and cloud services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Security, and Application Support to maintain stable and scalable IT platforms that support business-critical applications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Linux-based systems and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to servers, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services.

  • Perform routine system administration tasks such as user management, patching, backups, and upgrades.

  • Assist in cloud resource provisioning and access management.

  • Maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base articles.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to support deployments and releases.

  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices.

  • Participate in on-call support rotations and incident response activities.

  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS, etc.).

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls).

  • Experience with system monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).

  • Basic scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Understanding of virtualization and container concepts (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes – basic level).

  • Good communication skills and customer-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to analyze problems and work under pressure in production environments.


Experience

  • 1–4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or platform operations.

  • Fresh graduates with strong Linux and cloud fundamentals and relevant certifications are encouraged to apply.

  • Exposure to enterprise environments or managed services is a plus.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.

  • Shift-based work may be required, including night shifts and weekends.

  • On-call support rotation as per business needs.
