Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking DevOps Engineer – Renewable Energy Analytics to join our growing technology and sustainability team. This role is pivotal in building, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based analytics platforms that support renewable energy operations, including solar, wind, and smart grid systems.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling real-time data processing, scalable infrastructure, and high-availability systems that empower data scientists, energy analysts, and business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions for a greener future. You will work at the intersection of cloud engineering, automation, and energy analytics, contributing directly to global sustainability goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure for renewable energy analytics platforms.

  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data platforms, microservices, and machine learning workflows.

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.

  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using modern observability tools.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to deploy and manage big data pipelines and analytics models.

  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for critical energy systems.

  • Implement security best practices including access control, encryption, vulnerability management, and compliance standards.

  • Optimize cloud resources to improve cost efficiency and system performance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong focus on root cause analysis.

  • Support continuous improvement of DevOps processes and tools.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.

  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.

  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.

  • Understanding of DevOps best practices, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.

  • Familiarity with data platforms such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or cloud-native analytics services is a plus.


Experience

  • 3–7 years of professional experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer role.

  • Experience supporting data-intensive or analytics-driven platforms is highly desirable.

  • Prior exposure to energy, utilities, sustainability, or IoT systems is an advantage.


Working Hours

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

  • Flexible working hours with remote or hybrid work options depending on project requirements.

  • Occasional on-call support may be required for critical systems.
