Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our E-Governance Technology Division. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, scalability, performance, and reliability of large-scale digital governance platforms used by millions of citizens and government stakeholders.

As an SRE, you will bridge the gap between software engineering and IT operations, applying engineering principles to build resilient systems that support mission-critical public services. You will play a key role in automating operations, improving system observability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring high availability of national-level e-governance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable infrastructure for e-governance platforms.

  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and capacity using advanced observability tools.

  • Implement automation for deployment, configuration management, scaling, and recovery processes.

  • Proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks, incidents, and performance issues.

  • Lead incident management and post-incident root cause analysis (RCA).

  • Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability into application design.

  • Ensure system security, compliance, and data integrity for government-grade platforms.

  • Optimize cost, performance, and resource utilization in cloud and on-prem environments.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Linux/Unix system administration.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Shell, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or New Relic.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

  • Experience supporting large-scale, high-traffic, mission-critical systems.

  • Prior experience in government, fintech, healthcare, or regulated environments is a strong advantage.

  • Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architecture.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, 40–45 hours per week.

  • Rotational on-call support for critical systems (as per schedule).

  • Flexible working hours with options for remote or hybrid work depending on project requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of system reliability engineering principles.

  • Ability to work under pressure in high-impact production environments.

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to document processes, incidents, and best practices.

  • High sense of responsibility for system uptime and service quality.

  • Passion for automation and operational excellence.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.

  • Comprehensive health insurance for employee and dependents.

  • Paid time off, sick leave, and public holidays.

  • Learning and development programs, certifications, and training.

  • Career growth opportunities in a global technology organization.

  • Flexible work arrangements (remote/hybrid).

  • Employee wellness and engagement programs.

  • Access to cutting-edge tools and modern tech stack.
