Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Low Latency Trading Systems to lead the design, reliability, and performance of mission-critical trading platforms. This role is at the heart of our high-frequency and algorithmic trading infrastructure, where microseconds matter and system resilience is non-negotiable.

As a Lead SRE, you will own the end-to-end reliability strategy for low-latency systems, ensuring maximum uptime, ultra-fast response times, and seamless scalability. You will work closely with trading, quant, and engineering teams to optimize infrastructure, reduce risk, and drive automation across complex distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the reliability engineering strategy for low-latency trading platforms and market data systems.

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and performance-optimized infrastructure.

• Monitor system health, latency, throughput, and error budgets using advanced observability tools.

• Implement automated incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.

• Partner with developers and quants to improve system performance and optimize execution pipelines.

• Drive capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

• Develop and enforce SRE best practices, SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Mentor and lead a team of SRE and platform engineers.

• Reduce operational toil through automation and self-healing systems.

• Participate in high-impact production deployments and change management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles.

• Deep knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and low-level performance tuning.

• Expertise in distributed systems and real-time, low-latency architectures.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and/or on-prem high-performance systems.

• Hands-on expertise with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, ELK).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes).

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, FIX protocol, and market data feeds.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles.

• 3+ years in leadership or technical lead positions.

• Proven experience supporting financial trading systems, HFT platforms, or real-time data systems.

• Experience working in high-availability, low-latency, mission-critical environments.
