Job Summary:

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – API Performance to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing APIs, with a strong focus on automation, incident management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for API performance, availability, and reliability.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure APIs meet SLAs and performance benchmarks.

• Conduct root cause analysis and provide long-term solutions for recurring incidents.

• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve system efficiency and reliability.

• Implement scalable solutions for traffic management, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.

• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to production incidents and outages.

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of systems, processes, and incident reports.

• Proactively identify areas for performance optimization and scalability improvements.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in SRE and API management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems administration.

• Hands-on experience with API monitoring and performance tuning.

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Solid understanding of networking, caching, databases, and distributed systems.

• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and configuration management tools.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale APIs and microservices in production.

• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, etc.).

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with flexible working hours.

• Participation in on-call rotations for incident response may be required.
