Job Summary:

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled Release Automation Engineer with a strong focus on GitLab CI/CD to join our dynamic DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated release pipelines, ensuring seamless software deployment across multiple environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, optimizing for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth, automated release processes.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve deployment and pipeline issues proactively.

• Implement best practices for version control, branching strategies, and release management.

• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive release tasks.

• Maintain and improve release documentation, standards, and guidelines.

• Participate in on-call rotation for release support and production deployment issues.

• Stay updated on the latest CI/CD tools, trends, and technologies to recommend process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy.

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management.

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is desirable.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills across multi-functional teams.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in release automation, CI/CD, or DevOps roles.

• Proven track record in implementing and managing automated release pipelines in large-scale enterprise environments.

• Prior experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous.

Working Hours:

• Standard office hours with flexibility based on project and deployment schedules.

• Participation in on-call rotation for critical release support may be required.

• Ability to work in a global team environment across multiple time zones.

• Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts, automation frameworks, and release workflows.

• Strong aptitude for learning new tools and technologies quickly.
