Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our mission-critical Financial Systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of large-scale financial transaction platforms that process high volumes of real-time payments and digital transactions across global markets.

As an SRE – Financial Transaction Reliability, you will work at the intersection of software engineering and systems engineering, applying engineering principles to automate operations, improve system resilience, and minimize service disruptions. You will play a key role in maintaining high availability, reducing operational risk, and delivering seamless financial experiences to millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant systems for financial transaction platforms.

• Monitor system health, performance, latency, and error rates using advanced observability tools.

• Define and manage SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs to ensure consistent service reliability.

• Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews for critical outages.

• Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve system efficiency.

• Collaborate with software engineering teams to embed reliability into the SDLC.

• Implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies.

• Optimize system performance, capacity planning, and cost efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and audit requirements relevant to financial systems.

• Continuously improve reliability through chaos engineering and resilience testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration.

• Solid programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Java, Bash).

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic).

• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability architectures.

• Understanding of security principles, encryption, and access control.

• Familiarity with financial systems, payment gateways, or transaction processing platforms is a strong advantage.

Experience

• 4–8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Engineering roles.

• Proven experience supporting high-traffic, mission-critical systems.

• Prior experience in fintech, banking, e-commerce, or payment platforms is preferred.

• Experience managing on-call rotations and handling critical production incidents.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with standard business hours.

• Participation in on-call rotation for production support.
