Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and strategic DevOps Lead – Retail Supply Chain Automation to spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of DevOps practices across our retail supply chain platforms. This role is critical in driving automation, scalability, reliability, and performance for systems that manage inventory, logistics, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, and real-time analytics.

As a DevOps Lead, you will act as a technical leader and change agent, working closely with engineering, product, data, and business stakeholders to build resilient CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native infrastructures, and automated workflows that accelerate delivery and improve operational efficiency across global retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the DevOps strategy for retail supply chain automation platforms, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable, and automated software releases.

• Architect and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Drive automation of deployment, testing, monitoring, and incident response processes.

• Collaborate with application development teams to embed DevOps best practices throughout the SDLC.

• Implement containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Monitor system performance, reliability, and costs, optimizing cloud resources for efficiency.

• Establish SRE practices including SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and proactive monitoring.

• Lead root cause analysis and incident management for production issues.

• Mentor and guide DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container ecosystems.

• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).

• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog).

• Good understanding of microservices architecture and API-based systems.

• Knowledge of security best practices (DevSecOps, IAM, secrets management, compliance).

Experience

• 8+ years of overall experience in IT, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering.

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps Lead or Senior DevOps role.

• Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems, preferably in retail, e-commerce, logistics, or supply chain environments.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex automation projects.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.

• Flexible working hours with overlapping availability for global teams.

• On-call rotation may be required for critical production systems.
