Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Smart City Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based and on-premises systems that support next-generation urban solutions. You will bridge the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring continuous integration, automated deployment, and high system reliability. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure for Smart City applications.

• Automate deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and monitoring systems to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of new features and technologies.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively prevent downtime.

• Maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Ensure security best practices are followed across all systems, applications, and cloud platforms.

• Participate in disaster recovery planning and high-availability system design.

• Continuously evaluate emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and trends to optimize infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or related IT operations roles.

• Proven track record in implementing infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud solutions.

• Prior exposure to smart city technologies, IoT, or large-scale urban IT systems is a strong advantage.

Working Hours

• Full-time position

• Standard office hours with flexibility for remote work depending on project requirements.

• On-call support may be required for critical system issues.
