Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking DevOps Specialist – IoT & Edge Computing to join our global technology team. This role is critical in enabling the seamless integration, deployment, monitoring, and scaling of IoT and edge-based platforms across distributed environments. You will work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, edge devices, automation, and security to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of next-generation IoT systems.

As a DevOps Specialist, you will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and operations teams to design and maintain resilient CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure that support millions of connected devices and real-time data processing at the edge.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for IoT and edge computing applications.

• Build and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure supporting distributed IoT ecosystems.

• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.

• Manage containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, and edge orchestration platforms.

• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for real-time edge and cloud services.

• Ensure security best practices across devices, networks, and cloud environments.

• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system architecture.

• Support firmware and software deployment to edge devices at scale.

• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Strong experience with DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, AMQP).

• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• Solid understanding of networking, Linux systems, and distributed systems.

Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering role.

• At least 1–2 years of experience working with IoT or edge computing environments.

• Experience supporting large-scale, distributed systems is highly desirable.

• Prior exposure to real-time data processing or embedded systems is a plus.

Working Hours

• Full-time position, 40 hours per week.

• Flexible working hours with overlap for global collaboration.

• Hybrid or remote work options available depending on location and project needs.

• Occasional on-call support may be required for critical systems.
