Job Summary

Global MNC Tech is seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and scale our high-traffic e-commerce platforms used by millions of customers worldwide. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and security of our systems while driving automation and operational excellence across the organization.

This role bridges software engineering and infrastructure operations. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and security teams to design resilient systems, improve system observability, and implement best practices for monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems for e-commerce platforms.

• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using advanced observability tools.

• Automate operational processes, deployments, and infrastructure management to reduce manual intervention.

• Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews to prevent recurrence.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system architecture and reliability practices.

• Define and manage SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical services.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines and improve release reliability.

• Optimize system performance, capacity planning, and cost efficiency.

• Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in cloud and on-prem environments.

• Document processes, runbooks, and operational standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Bash.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration.

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancing).

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic).

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering roles.

• Prior experience supporting large-scale, high-availability systems, preferably in e-commerce or high-traffic digital platforms.

• Experience in managing production incidents and on-call responsibilities.

• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position (40 hours per week).

• Flexible working hours with rotational on-call support.

• Remote or hybrid work options depending on location and team requirements.
