Job Summary

Startup Inno is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Data Scientist specializing in Multi-Omics Data Integration to lead our cutting-edge genomics and systems biology initiatives. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who can design and implement advanced analytical frameworks to integrate genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics datasets, generating actionable insights for precision medicine, drug discovery, and translational research. The Principal Data Scientist will serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional teams and will drive the development of robust data pipelines, scalable models, and reproducible analytical workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of multi-omics data integration pipelines, leveraging advanced statistical and computational techniques.

  • Collaborate closely with bioinformaticians, computational biologists, data engineers, and experimental scientists to define research objectives and deliver impactful insights.

  • Develop predictive models and machine learning frameworks to uncover biological patterns, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets.

  • Establish best practices for data management, quality control, and reproducible analyses across large, heterogeneous datasets.

  • Mentor and guide a team of junior and senior data scientists, fostering a culture of scientific rigor and innovation.

  • Present analytical findings to internal teams and external stakeholders, including leadership, collaborators, and scientific conferences.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies in multi-omics data analysis and systems biology.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Systems Biology, or related fields.

  • Strong expertise in multi-omics data analysis, including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and epigenomics.

  • Proficiency in statistical modeling, machine learning, and network analysis.

  • Advanced programming skills in Python, R, and relevant bioinformatics libraries.

  • Experience with high-performance computing, cloud platforms, and large-scale data integration pipelines.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.


Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, or data science roles with demonstrated multi-omics integration projects.

  • Proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or contributions to significant genomics projects.

  • Previous leadership experience in managing scientific teams or cross-functional analytical projects.


Working Hours

  • Full-time, flexible working hours.
