Startup Inno is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Applied AI Scientist – Fraud Detection & Cybersecurity to join our advanced analytics and security team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent AI-driven systems to detect, prevent, and respond to fraudulent activities and cyber threats across digital platforms.
You will work at the intersection of machine learning, data science, and cybersecurity, building scalable models that protect business operations, customer data, and digital assets. Design and implement machine learning and deep learning models for fraud detection, anomaly detection, and cyber threat identification.
Develop real-time and batch AI systems to monitor transactions, network traffic, and user behavior.
Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to uncover suspicious patterns and emerging threats.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to integrate AI solutions into security infrastructure and incident response systems.
Build and maintain model pipelines, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, training, validation, and deployment.
Continuously evaluate and improve model performance, accuracy, and robustness against evolving threats.
Research and apply state-of-the-art AI and security techniques (e.g., graph ML, NLP, reinforcement learning).
Document models, experiments, and findings for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, regulatory standards, and ethical AI practices.
Strong foundation in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Statistical Modeling.
Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
Solid understanding of fraud detection systems, cybersecurity principles, and risk analytics.
Experience working with big data technologies (SQL, Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL databases).
Knowledge of anomaly detection, classification, clustering, and graph-based models.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business problems into AI solutions.
Excellent communication skills to present insights to both technical and business teams.
3–6 years of experience in Data Science, Applied AI, or Machine Learning roles.
Prior experience in fraud analytics, cybersecurity, fintech, banking, or e-commerce is highly preferred.
Experience deploying models into production environments.
Research experience or publications in AI/security domains is a plus.
Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
